Managed Care Information Needed
In March 2011, Kings County began offering managed care services to its residents. This allowed each family member to choose a healthcare provider from two options: CalViva or Anthem Blue Cross. In January 2024, Kaiser was introduced as a new provider option. It is crucial that you meet with a Health Care Options (HCO) representative to complete your paperwork when you apply, when your coverage has been discontinued and reopened, or when adding an individual to your medical assistance. Failure to meet with an HCO representative can delay your coverage for up to 45 days, or you may be placed into a plan that doesn't provide you with the necessary doctors you may require. For more information on managed care and to select the best health plan for you and your family, please visit https://www.healthcareoptions.dhcs.ca.gov.
If you have any questions or need to contact your managed care provider, you can find more information.
