Update: Tulare Lake Subbasin Groundwater Sustainability Plan

 

On September 3, 2019, the Tulare Lake Subbasin Groundwater Sustainability Agencies (“GSAs”) issued a Notice of 90-Day Public Review of Tulare Lake Subbasin Groundwater Sustainability Plan (“Notice”).  The Notice stated that “a public hearing on the draft Tulare Lake Subbasin Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) will be held . . .  at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 2, 2019 at the Admin Room adjacent to the Kings County Board of Supervisors Chambers, located at 1400 W. Lacey Blvd. in Hanford, CA.” It further stated that the “draft GSP will be available on-line at the GSAs’ websites . . . starting Friday, September 6, 2019.”  The following link is to the draft GSP that was released for public review on September 6, 2019:

The Hydrologic Model for the Tulare Lake Subbasin, Appendix D to the GSP, was released for public review on October 18th, 2019.  The following link is to the groundwater model report:

The County is not responsible for the GSP or the Hydrologic Model component of the GSP and is posting these documents for the sole purpose of facilitating public participation in the process and at the hearing.

The 90-day public review period for the draft GSP will conclude at the end of the public meeting on December 2nd, 2019. The public meeting on the draft Tulare Lake Subbasin GSP will be held at 10:00 am on December 2nd, 2019 at the Kings County Government Center located at:
