KINGS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE COURT SERVICES DIVISION 

The Court Services Division is staffed with Deputy Sheriff Bailiffs who are responsible for security and order in the courtroom and court premises. Court Services preserves order among the spectators during court proceedings, enforces courtroom rules of behavior and escorts the jury to and from areas outside of courtroom. Staff assigned to Court Services serve as liaison for jurors during court session and deliberations.

Court Services personnel operate the metal detectors and scanners upon entry into the Superior Court. This added layer of security aids in assuring the safety of court staff and the public. 

Court Services are supervised by a Commander, Sergeant and Senior Deputy.
