Purpose and Objectives

The purpose of the committee is to assist the Board of Supervisors in their administration of the Kings County Museum. The Advisory Committee shall work towards the betterment of the museum by advising the appropriate county departments and the Board of Supervisors on procedures for the upkeep, cataloging and maintenance of the museum, exhibits and artifacts; obtaining additional funding through grants, endowments and fund-raising events; personnel and financing matters for the effective organization and management of the museum; performing functions under Public Resource Code Sections 5120, et seq. and other appropriate matters relating to the museum.

Membership Composition

This committee shall be comprised of five (5) members per Resolution No. 15-053. Members must be a resident of Kings County and at least 18 years of age.
