The Accounting Division will now be accepting payments Monday through Thursday from

8:00 am to 4:30 pm and Friday from 8:00 am to 10:00 am.

The Auditor-Controller or Accounting Division performs the general accounting functions for the County and special districts as set forth by California Code and Board of Supervisor Resolutions as well as other general and specific functions required by statutes and regulations. Some of these functions include:

  • Audit claims for proper documentation and legitimacy
  • Key and post claims
  • Reconcile outside bank accounts and various trusts
  • Develop the County's Cost Allocation Plan
  • Calculate the Appropriation Limit and present to the Board of Supervisors
  • Prepare several annual financial reports and special accounting reports

Other key operations of the Division are as follows:

  • Manage all aspects of the County payroll system including multiple levels of benefits for various union agreements and bargaining units. 
  • Completes all required State and Federal reports for Payroll.
  • Process Purchase Orders, Cal Card (the County's credit card system) claims, and Utility Bills
  • Manage the County's Fixed Asset System
