Kings County ADA Committee Agenda

I. Call to Order
II. Unscheduled Appearances: Any person may address the committee on any subject matter within the jurisdiction or responsibility of the committee at the beginning of the meeting; or may elect to address the committee on any agenda item at the time the item is called by the chairperson, but before the matter is acted upon by the committee. Unscheduled comments will be limited to five minutes.
III. Approval of Minutes of Prior (Minutes may be approved by acclamation; no formal vote is required): N/A
IV. New Business:
A. Organizational Items: Discussion of whether to adopt formal bylaws; clarification of membership and roles
V. Old Business: None
VI. Standing Items:
A. Transition Plan: ADA Coordinator will provide an update on progress toward completing the transition plan, including funding issues. The ADA Coordinator may also consult with the committee regarding access alternatives where the cost to remove an access barrier substantially outweighs the benefits of doing so.
B. Technology Update: None for this quarter
C. Self-Evaluation Implementation: The committee will develop and oversee a work plan for the implementation of the County’s ADA Self-Evaluation. Responsibility for completion of specific tasks may be assigned, and reports may be received from County personnel regarding progress.
VII. Future Meetings: The next meeting will be held September 9, 2016 at 2 pm. The committee may discuss items for future agenda at this time.
