Lacey Boulevard, Hanford, California 93230 (559) 852-2362 FAX (559) 585-8047 website: https://www.countyofkings.com COUNTY OF KINGS PUBLIC MEETING PROTOCOL IN RESPONSE TO CORONAVIRUS COVID-19 California Governor Gavin Newsom issued Executive Orders N-25-20 and N-29-20 on March 12, 2020 and March 17, 2020, respectively, relating to the convening of public agency meetings in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.  On December 3, 2020, the State announced a regional Stay-at-Home order to slow the spread of COVID-19. In response to the State’s additional restrictions, and for the protection of the public’s health, the Board of Supervisors will convene their public meetings via video and teleconference as detailed below, and will close its Board Chambers to the public until further notice. Pursuant to the Executive Orders, and to maintain the orderly conduct of the meeting, Kings County will allow the Board Supervisors, County staff and interested members of the public to attend the meeting telephonically or by the Internet, and to participate in the meeting to the same extent as if they were present in the Board’s Chambers.  Members of the public who wish to observe the meeting virtually can do so via the worldwide web at: https://youtu.be/Ctq8uazFQLA or go to www.countyofkings.com and click on the “Join Meeting” link. Consider approving the Amendment to Agreement Number 20-128 with Kings Partnership For Prevention for the provision of prevention outreach and engagement services, extending the term through June 30, 2022. 2. Consider approving the Agreement with Superior Court of California, County of Kings, for the Collaborative Justice Treatment Court. 3. Consider approving the Agreement with Ruby Soliz for Patient’s Rights Advocacy services retroactively from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2022. C. Fire Department: 1. a. Consider authorizing the Fire Chief to accept the Community Power Resiliency Program Allocation for the provision of building continuity of critical operations during power shutoffs retroactively from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021; b. Authorize the Fire Chief to sign all grant documents; and c. Adopt the budget change. (4/5 vote required) D. Sheriff’s Department: 1. Consider authorizing the out of state travel of Deputy Kelsea Beaver and Deputy Lee Wisecarver to the Texas Association of School Resource Officers Conference including the Basic School Resource Officer Course in San Antonio, Texas from July 4-10, 2021. 2. Consider authorizing the out of state travel of Deputy Jerry Blackburn and Deputy Brook Garcia to the 2021 National Association of School Resource Officers School Safety Conference in Orlando, Florida from July 9-16, 2021. 3. Consider authorizing the out of state travel of three Kings County Major Crimes Task Force (MCTF) Investigators to the California Narcotics Officers’ Association Annual Training Conference in Reno, Nevada from November 18-24, 2021. 4. Consider authorizing the out of state travel of Senior Deputy Dakotah Fausnett and Deputy Seth Vierra to the 2021 National Interdiction Conference in Baltimore, Maryland from July 24-31, 2021. V.
